TV Mid-range 2020: Comparison Sony X800H Samsung TU8000 LG UN8000

Mid-range to mid-priced TVs from major brands are: Sony X800H, Samsung TU8000, and LG UN8000. These televisions share many of their technical characteristics but present important differences.

In our comparison between the Sony X800H vs Samsung TU8005 vs LG UN8000, we start by highlighting the points they share: They are good SmartTVs, the panels are DirectLED / EdgeLED 8bits and have 50Hz, while the best TVs have a 100Hz FALD panel.

The main difference is the IPS technology against the VA, panels more suitable for bright and spacious rooms against the VA more suitable to see centered with or without light.

  • Sony X800H: its price is somewhat higher than other models, it is a good TV but it is necessary to find it on sale so that it can compete.
  • Samsung TU8000: good image quality for average users, that is, for those who are not too freaks of quality
  • LG UN8000: okay, it is a television that does not offer more than necessary, similar to the Sony XH8096 but a bit inferior to watch DTT and sports.

Our score:

This score is totally subjective, it is formed from subjective personal feelings, different reviews and does not attend to technical aspects or numerical measurements.

Conclusion:

The difference is little, you have to choose between the Samsung VA panel or the LG-Sony IPS panel. If you choose an IPS panel for its better viewing angle, the Sony X800H is a bit better but it is also a bit more expensive than the other two.
